| Australia’s largest indoor tennis centre, Tennis Ballarat, will host the 2010 Frank Sedgman Cup this weekend, the first time one of Tennis Victoria’s Junior Regional Cup events will be played indoors. |

Nurturing a tennis talent
| Currently ranked No.2 in Australia and No.1 in Victoria for his age, Matthew Romios (Pascoe Vale South) is a natural tennis talent, having begun playing the game at just three years and 10 months of age.
It is an age his dad remembers well because he was surprised at how young he was. A love of rolling golf balls around the house while his dad tried to sleep prompted his parents to organise some tennis lessons. |

Ugly behaviour in sport given the boot in new campaign
| A new education campaign targeting bad behaviour and ugly parent syndrome in grassroots sport will be rolled out shortly to Victoria’s 16,000 grassroots sporting clubs and associations. |

Proposed changes to the Associations Incorporation Amendment Bill 2010
| The Victorian Government has released a draft of the proposed Associations Incorporation Amendment Bill 2010. The Bill will directly affect all National and State Sporting Organisations incorporated in Victoria and is intended to amend the Associations Incorporation Act 1981 (Vic) to introduce new rights and clarify others. |

Tennis Australia Supports Grassroots Tennis
| The board of Tennis Australia (TA) met during Australian Open 2010 to consider a proposal to fund extra Community Tennis Officers (CTOs) around the country. All Member Associations (states) provided TA with detailed submissions on how, and where, CTOs could be deployed. |
